An inchworm measures the length of different vegetables--with the help of a few other worms that just happen to be exact fractions of an inch. The rhyming story is a clever attempt at introducing readers to both fractions and measurement. However, in the colorful linocut illustrations, the worms' measurements are confusingly depicted as a series of arcs rather than straight-line distances.
