This book features the plight of a group of endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtles whose journey from Mexican beaches to the nutrient-rich Sargasso Sea goes awry when they are caught up in the Gulf Stream and deposited in the cold bays of New England. Color photos and compelling text document the rescue of one turtle as it is handed off from volunteer beach patrollers and eventually flown to Florida for release.
