Illustrated by
Harley Jessup.
A boy uses simple adjectives to describe himself. He states that he's both "small enough to see my shoes" and "big enough to build a house, / a stack it tall, / let it fall / house." While the verses vary from detailed to rather vague descriptions and the boy's character remains indistinct, the concepts are pleasingly familiar. The large, bold illustrations are engaging: for example, the tower of blocks nearly tumbles off the page toward the reader.
