(4) K-3 Illustrated by Jacky Davis. In her fourth outing, Lulu (a.k.a. Ladybug Girl) has clear ideas in mind for a "Bug Squad" playdate she's planned for her friends. Things go smoothly until the other kids start to voice their own creative ideas. Although the tension is resolved easily and unrealistically, the story, with its bright, energetic, super-chipper illustrations, has some appeal.
