Illustrated by
Doug Cushman.
Three early chapter books, Little Raccoon and the Thing in the Pool (1963), Little Raccoon and the Outside World (1965), and Little Raccoon and No Trouble at All (1972, all McGraw-Hill), have been compiled and newly illustrated. The Little Bear-like stories, though somewhat predictable, are graced by Moore's simple, lyrical language. Numerous illustrations by Cushman (of Inspector Hopper fame) add appeal.
