In the morning, "Sun sings. / Wings fan. / Swing on porch / With toast and jam." At night there's a marshmallow roast. "Neighbors visit / Into the night. / Marshmallow kisses / By firefly light." Takabayashi's watercolors are full of delicately painted, homey details.
