After seeing a picture in a book of the cow jumping over the moon, Mrs. Mooley, a cow, defies barnyard scoffers to practice jumping for her big moment. By dawn, her determination pays off as the moon is setting and the other animals wake to see her final jump carry her "over" the moon. The premise is strung out to fill the pages, but the mild lesson goes down easily. Kent's loose barnyard cartoons illustrate the book.
