Illustrated by
Katherine Tillotson.
A brief rhyming text and panoramic illustrations convey a boy's nighttime ride on a train through the countryside to the city. The lush, dramatic pictures of the passing landscape sometimes overwhelm the terse text, which contains some poorly rhymed lines. Nevertheless, the book does capture the sensory dimensions of train travel.
