Simple text, which briefly touches on owls' diet, flight, hunting behavior, and nocturnal nature, is age-appropriate and engaging, if occasionally oversimplified. Huge--in many cases nearly life-size--high-quality photos clearly chronicle the owlets' maturation. The concluding visual word bank isn't particularly elucidating. Ind.
