But this is no retro romance: Patty dismisses most of the princes because they expect her to be who she isn't (a glass-slippers-wearer, a hair-let-downer, etc.). This winking spoof of princess classics gets bogged down in details, but it's a clever premise featuring decorous anachronistic details, including Patty's fleet of sparkly knapsacks.
