Stosh travels back to 1920 to attempt to save Ray Chapman, a Major League player who died after being hit by a pitch. Stosh brings a doctor along, but they aren't able to convince anyone that they can save Chapman's life. Because of its compelling emotional and historical details, this is one of the better books in the contrived series.
