In successive spreads, the trio passes pedestrians and Emily snags something from each: "ROGER! ROGER! I've got a bite..." They all make chase, and eventually everyone ends up in the river. The combination of careful composition and slapstick hilarity lets readers enjoy the outing as much as the characters (at least Emily and Bob) do.
