K-3Tiger Talk: Get into Science series.
These books provide very simple introductions to physical and materials sciences for young children. Colorful photos show kids interacting with objects to illustrate (without ever naming them) some scientific principles (e.g., kinetic energy, simple machines). The volumes are neither inclusive nor particularly well organized; however, the series effectively plays up the fun of science with various projects to try. Review covrs these Tiger Talk: Get Into Science titles: Make It Move, Shape and Build, Using Tools, and Water Play.
