Illustrated by
Janie Bynum.
Sloth is climbing higher and higher up a tree, accompanied by well-meaning but unhelpful friend Moth. Moth points out that without wings like his, a wraparound tail like Monkey, or stickiness like Snail, Sloth could fall. But when a thunderstorm hits, Sloth proves that Moth’s pessimism is unwarranted. The pastel watercolor and digital-media illustrations amplify the humorous text with closeups of Sloth’s reactions to Moth’s words.
