The oddly assorted group from The Silver Spoon of Solomon Snow enjoys another farcical adventure. Prudence's dad is about to be deported; wicked Dr. Calamari tries to purloin a ruby; and self-absorbed "Prodigy" Rosabella is the link between them. The fun is amplified by what the characters don't know. Unresolved questions (like Solly's parents' identities) may set off a third comic escapade.
