Thanks to Philip's research and attention, these sixteen stories are a fine gift to storytellers looking for new material, for educators concerned with cultural transmission, and for anyone interested in folklore. The tone of the appended notes suggests that the book will appeal to older audiences, although the inviting format and attractive pictures will lure younger readers as well. Bib.
