The Arab Americans

(4) 4-6 Major American Immigration series. These books attempt to describe different groups' immigration experiences in addition to giving general information about the history of American immigration. Each volume includes personal stories to draw readers in, plus stock photographs. The broad subject matter limits depth; the premise for some volumes is questionable (were slaves really immigrants?). There are ten other spring 2009 books in this series. Reading list, timeline, websites. Glos., ind. Review covers these Major American Immigration titles: The African Americans, History of American Immigration, Citizenship, The Arab Americans, and The Mexican Americans.
