The girls get along beautifully, think of wonderful projects, and adore their aunt and her charming boyfriend. Even with an overdose of sweetness and little character development, the books contain much that will appeal to newly emergent girl readers. Halperin's delicate and detailed pencil drawings suit the tension-free stories.
