The Easter Rabbit Parade

(4) PS Ann Eliza takes good care of her farm animals; at Easter, they repay the favor with a parade, an egg-filled basket, and gifts (all accomplished despite the goat's pessimism and the rabbit's egotism). The illustrations, originally in brown, orange, and blue, have been tastefully converted to full color, but it's the overlong text that dominates. Contemporary readers may lose patience with this rambling story.
