Forty-five poems (most very brief) play with sound and sensory descriptions. Succinct rhyme and a sure sense of humor mark the best of the bunch, and the influences of Silverstein, Nash, and Carroll are apparent. A few of the poems seem more adult-oriented, but there's much for kids to enjoy here. Fanciful line drawings in varying styles appear throughout.
