In this offbeat tale, Tom drags his indulgent grandfather out to play in puddles and is unfazed that they have dried up. Wandering away from Grandpa, Tom finds the friendly Puddleman with a stack of diaphanous puddles on his back and helps fit them into the right holes. Briggs uses his signature comic-strip format to dramatize each bit of dialogue with panache.
