The women in Quinn's family constantly warn her about men. But Quinn loves Barry, her recently returned father, and desperately wants his love. Caletti believably conveys Quinn's painful realizations about Barry. Despite its focus on bad men, the story is warmly optimistic and humorous, and its upbeat ending--with Quinn, her mom, and her grandmother all finding nice guys--is a feel-good, fitting conclusion.
