Hiroe Nakata.
What happens to a rubber ball left outside alone? Caterpillar crawls by it. Bumblebee buzzes it. Woodpecker pecks it. The short sentences have fun rhythms and sounds, and the loose watercolor illustrations show what is happening in the yard behind the ball.
