When lightning strikes, Weezer the puppy becomes a prodigy, an environmental crusader, and a peace spokesperson. After a second bolt hits, he returns to his ordinary pet life, leaving humans to continue his good works. The story has a jaunty, amusing start, but then sags. The soft, sketch-like illustrations are full of gentle humor.
