PS
A rabbit wears a series of animal masks, asserting its newfound identity before an unseen narrator corrects it (Who Am I?); and a dog blames six other animals for breaking a vase when confronted by an adult (Broke). Both books' characters are depicted with googly eyes and deadpan expressions in the flat, minimalist cartoony illustrations. Basic vocabularies, speech balloons, and repetitive structures will appeal to preschoolers and emergent readers. Review covers these titles: Who Am I? and Who Broke the Vase?
