PSHarper Growing Tree series.
Hurd's illustrations are eye-catching, and the rhyming text is filled with action and car-related sounds. Toddlers may enjoy the book, with its car-crazy animals and exciting car crashes ("Faster...Faster! Watch out! Too fast! CRASH! DISASTER!"), but the illustrations--a neon-colored melange of photos and drawings--are more appropriate for, and will be better appreciated by, an older audience.
