Two children go about their day, playing together and exploring nature. This book consists of a series of simple statements in Spanish and English illustrating opposites: "Es de noche. / It is dark. / Es de día. / It is light." The enlarged watercolors are highly textured though fuzzily reproduced. Expansive double-page spreads make effective use of boldly playful primary and secondary colors.

In this Spanish edition of Look, a young boy home sick from school observes his neighbors from his window with an alley view. The staccato text, while brief, lacks momentum, but the warm watercolor scenes on rough-textured paper bring the neighborhood to life.

When a young bunny's mother tells him, "La nieve ya empezo a derretirse. Esta por llegar la primavera," he thinks that spring is going to be a friend he can play with. Instead, he finds friendship with a bear. The soft-edged illustrations fittingly depict the season of melting snow. This Spanish edition of 'Hopper Hunts for Spring' is well translated for young readers.
