To mark the sixty-fifth anniversary of the first Moomin book, three more of Jansson's beloved, offbeat fantasies have been reissued. A common two-page biography is appended to each, along with "A Timeline Full of Fun Facts About the World of Moomin." Review covers these titles: Moominland Midwinter, Moominpappa at Sea, and Tales from Moominvalley.

Hemulin, Fillyjonk, Mymble, Little Toft, Grandpa-Grumble, and Snufkin find themselves at the Moomins' house, but, sadly, the Moomins aren't there. This reissue of the final Moomin book contains a highly subtle narrative that is frequently pure poetry. Jansson's drawings contribute their usual droll humor and concreteness to the singular creatures.
