Lyttle Lies series.
Habitual liar Sam Lyttle can't wait for a summer carnival with an open-air screening of his favorite movie. After a "truth make-over" lands Sam's mother in charge of a charity "Zumbathon," his family declares: no lying for three weeks, or no screening. Sam's efforts at total honesty bring predictable but humorous results, and a subplot involving a stinky cat adds more laughs. A comics format enhances the silliness.

Lyttle Lies series.
Sam Lyttle is not exactly a paragon of truthfulness. His habitual lies at home and school land him in increasingly complicated and entertaining predicaments, but eventually the truth must come out...right? Regardless, the ending to this series-opener depicts a hero with a heart. A mix of expressive cartoons and graphic panels enhances the action, with plenty of mildly rude humor to assure laughs.
