Morgan loves basketball, but doesn't like being "too short for the court." He practices dribbling through trees and shooting over ladders, which seem to do the trick. The simplistic story is told via large panel illustrations, speech bubbles, and brief text. "How to Read a Graphic Novel" precedes the story; discussion questions and writing prompts are appended. After his broken arm heals, Andre resumes his position as quarterback and leads his football team to victory. Large panels and speech balloons introduce the structures of graphic novels; instructions on how to read the words and pictures precede the story. This probably won't interest its target early reader audience, but slightly older sports fans may enjoy it.
