Warriors: Dawn of the Clans series.
Blazing Star picks up after the events of The First Battle: as the cats try to rebuild, disease and a cat named One Eye threaten resolution. In Forest Divided, the cats must "grow and spread like the Blazing Star" to ensure survival. The lengthy narratives and large cast of characters are overwhelming, but serious fans will enjoy the Warriors' further adventures. Review covers the following Warriors: Dawn of the Clans titles: The Blazing Star and A Forest Divided.

Warriors: Dawn of the Clans series.
Tribe leader Clear Sky's pregnant mate, Star Flower, is taken hostage by rogue cat Slash in an evil effort to persuade the five warrior clans to share their resources. To get her back, the cats must put aside their differences and work together. Newcomers to the series may find the number of characters unwieldy, but fans should enjoy another energetic, high-stakes adventure.

Warriors: Dawn of the Clans series.
Mistrust builds between domineering Clear Sky's camp and wise Tall Shadow's, with Thunder, who's lived in both, caught in the middle. The novel culminates in a battle that ends with the spirits of the dead rising with a warning for the living. There are plenty of (tortuous) plot points here, along with foreshadowing that should be meaningful to series fans.

Warriors: Dawn of the Clans series.
In this opening to the Warriors prequel series, a prophecy leads some members of a starving cat tribe to seek food and comfort elsewhere while others stay behind. Conflicts about how to survive add character detail to the cats' journey, and series fans will likely enjoy learning about the clans' roots, but others may find the characters overabundant and the writing heavy-handed.

Warriors: Dawn of the Clans series.
This second book in the spin-off prequel series continues the origin story of the forest-dwelling feline Clans, this time focusing on orange tom Thunder and his complicated and troubled relationship with his father, Clear Sky. The number of characters in these prequels isn't as unwieldy as previous Warriors books, making the adventure story more accessible than usual.
