100 Dogs: Playful Pups to Count

(3) PS "Shaggy dog, / baggy dog, / wag-wag-waggy dog, / dirty dog, / squirty dog, / watering a tree." A peppy rhyming text lists all sorts of dogs that bound through different scenes in cartoon illustrations. The pages offer plenty of visual humor, and there's a story here, too, which is set up in the beginning: "Lost Dog! / Where can she be?" Sharp-eyed viewers will spot the missing pup's black-and-white tail in many of the pictures; all will celebrate when the lost dog becomes a "found dog." The one hundred pups gather in the final spread for a drooling, licking, scooting, sniffing, frolicking dog party.
