In another almost-wordless adventure, Daisy the Caldecott-winning dog chases a squirrel into the woods. Fluid watercolor lines and splotches expertly depict the wiggly dog in motion. Sequential panels, full of color and movement, generate intense energy and emotion until a distraught Daisy, lost in the woods, howls. Once owner and pup reunite, the background fades back to a reassuring creamy yellow.
