(4) PS Animal Antics series. Illustrated by Anni Axworthy. Very brief texts list nine animals, culminating with children, that dig and burrow, hang and dangle, leap and jump, or swim and dive. In each book, the titular refrain finishes each sentence. This repetition gets somewhat irritating, and some sentences feel forced to fit the structure. But the bold, colorful cartoon illustrations with heavy black outlines are just right for the audience.
