Mama Always Comes Home

(4) PS Illustrated by Brooke Dyer. Wilson describes a variety of animal mothers who leave their babies briefly but always return. At the end of the rhyme, a human mother tells her child, "...time will fly right by, and then / I'll be coming home again." The illustrations are full of pleasant mother-child animal portraits, though--like the text--they sometimes approach the overly sweet.
