Parker's vibrant cartoon illustrations show three animal friends, dressed in safari gear, exploring in the rainforest, along with the smiling creatures they encounter.

(4) PS Illustrated by Ant Parker. Rhyming text (some verses a stretch) takes readers on an imaginary ocean dive. The book briefly describes different submarines and their operations and uses. Children will be drawn to the colorful, cartoonish illustrations; however, some of the vocabulary is too complicated for the intended audience and will require adult explanation. A diagram at the end points out and defines submarine parts.

Three gleeful critters dress as firefighters, drive a big red engine, put out a fire, and even rescue someone in this follow-up to Dazzling Diggers, Roaring Rockets, and Terrific Trains. The rhyming text and brilliant yellow- and red-hued cartoon-style watercolors strike a light tone that plays up the age-appropriate allurements of firefighting.

Spirited illustrations depict cartoon-style animals riding a variety of trains over a bridge and through a tunnel, to deliver freight and go on a vacation. The exuberant rhyming text and the playful art welcome would-be riders with an enthusiastic "all aboard" tone.
