In this heartfelt tale, Little Pyn lives in a desolate cottage with her father, Oother, a gruff, unsentimental mountain man. Pyn wants a Christmas tree; determined, she sets out in a snowstorm to find one. Dunrea's simple pencil and gouache pictures depict the father-daughter pair's differences (both in size and demeanor) and, gradually, their quiet mutual affection.
