The soft, humorous watercolors in this rhymed counting book show one dog setting out for a walk, two dogs chewing a bone, and so on up to ten dogs entering the park, and then many dogs playing there. When the dogs grow restless, the counting begins again, from ten back down to one. Individual dogs don't reappear in the illustrations, but the mood is unabashed, sloppy fun.
