When farmer Bonnie Bumble's crops wilt from lack of rain, she builds an animal ladder (heaving a pig atop a sheep atop a cow) and climbs up to tickle a passing cloud with chicken feathers. The ink and watercolor illustrations are a bit too saccharine, but toddlers will giggle at Bonnie's silly--and successful--plan.
