Many of these sixteen poems can be found elsewhere, but the collection has a pleasing rhythm from beginning to end that makes it especially suitable for bedtime reading. Traditional poems ("Wynken, Blynken and Nod") are included, along with pieces by contemporary poets including Barbara Juster Esbensen and Dennis Lee. Malone's soft, stylized illustrations complement the book's mood.
