Star Trek Starfleet Academy series.
In this latest science-fiction/techno-thriller installment, the future Enterprise command crew is playing a school-wide game, but the members (including Sulu, introduced for the first time) find themselves trying to clear McCoy's name when he's implicated in a plot to start a war. Trekkies will welcome the familiar characters and won't mind the overused femme fatale device.

The (future) Enterprise command crew members (including Chekov, here introduced for the first time) find themselves trying to clear Kirk's name when he is accused of serious crimes at the Academy. As in the previous novels, the characters are played exactly to type, with another flavor-of-the-month female lead for Kirk to love and lose.

Star Trek Starfleet Academy series.
Starfleet Academy cadets Kirk, Bones, and Uhura star in this thriller set in the rebooted Star Trek universe (based on the 2009 movie). The three become embroiled in a mystery involving serial killers and alien nanite technology. Though the writing is stilted, fans will enjoy the action and adventure taking them from the foggy streets of San Francisco to abandoned space stations.

Kirk, Bones, and Uhura star in this thriller set in the rebooted Star Trek universe. In their first weeks at Starfleet Academy the cadets are embroiled in a mystery involving a topic familiar to modern readers: performance enhancement. How far will someone go to gain the edge in a highly competitive environment? The characters, while comfortably familiar, lack depth.
