When Reese Tapper runs for sixth-grade class president against his twin, Claudia, things get heated--complete with smear campaigns, secrets, and hilarious antics. Who but Reese would think to hold a campaign rally inside an online video game? As in the first two Tapper Twins books, Rodkey employs authentic-feeling modern elements, including interviews, texts, emails, screenshots, and social media bursts.

Here, they're--totally unfairly!--maligned by the New York City press for the "fracas" caused by their prep school's charity scavenger hunt. It all started with a toaster pastry. Twelve-year-old twins Claudia and Reese get into a comical battle that rages across home, their New York City prep school, and the internet. Commentary from the twins, texts between their parents, internet chat, game transcripts, photographs, and doodles will keep readers' attention, but it's the twins' authentic middle-school voices that carry the book.

Chronicles of Egg series.
Egg rockets from one adventure to the next in this third volume. Relying on his wit and his friends to help him out of some wildly unexpected situations, he finds a treasure (which is disappointing), defeats an enemy pirate (gratifying), frees some Native slaves (disturbing), and reunites with his beloved Millicent (rewarding). Rodkey's fast-paced action and dialogue infuse Egg's tale with energy and humor.

Chronicles of Egg series.
Crossing an ocean, navigating a foreign city, and slashing through a jungle, Egg--along with eclectic friends Guts, Millicent, and Kira--hustles to find an ancient treasure using a map he committed to memory (maybe). Family problems and romantic worries provide additional layers. Rodkey employs a lightly comic touch along with indefatigable adventure in this new volume of Egg's chronicles.

When his father discovers a legendary treasure map, the whole family faces deadly encounters with pirates and the influential Roger Pembroke. By chance, Egbert avoids disappearing with his family only to be doggedly pursued by Pembroke. Romance, humor, adventure, and the high seas figure prominently in this strong series opener.
