This book picks up where the trilogy's second book (He's So Not Worth It) ended: Chloe is pregnant with (supposedly) Jake's baby. In alternating narration, on-and-off-again Jake and Ally describe trying to make their relationship work despite the situation. The almost too-dramatic plot and some unbelievably neat resolutions strain credulity but make this novel deliciously readable.
