Amazing Origami series.
In each volume, two somewhat boilerplate double-page spreads give a bit of background to this traditional Japanese craft and list the materials and basic techniques required to complete six or seven projects. Step-by-step illustrated instructions lead to three-dimensional miniature dogs, mice, iguanadons, gift boxes, rockets, boats, and more. Precision required--not for the impatient! Ind. Review covers these Amazing Origami titles: Amazing Origami Animals, Amazing Origami Dinosaurs, Amazing Origami Gifts, and Amazing Origami Vehicles.

Origami Crafting 4D series.
This series adds a "fourth dimension" to traditional origami paper-folding with a downloadable app that guides viewers through folding steps, demonstrated and narrated by a child instructor. The books are suitable on their own, but the app should make the simple folds even more accessible. Each origami object turns into a decorative craft with the use of yarn, wire, hot glue, etc. Reading list. Review covers these Origami Crafting 4D titles: Easy Origami Decorations and Easy Origami Ornaments.

PS
Cat Lucy is a know-it-all. Toshi the panda does things differently from Lucy: he eats with chopsticks, plays "strange" music (on a lute), does yoga instead of gymnastics, etc. Lucy loses it ("That's NOT how you do it!") but comes around when Toshi makes her an origami crane, then offers to teach her how. Cute, candy-colored illustrations help overcome the story's obvious message.

Illustrated by
G. Brian Karas.
Joey is entranced when Mrs. Takimoto demonstrates origami to his class and begins practicing on everything he can find ("'This folding has to stop,' said Mom"). Despondent, Joey goes to his favorite restaurant, Muy Mexicana, and discovers folding cloth napkins. Gentle humor keeps the story from being preachy; Karas's gouache and pencil illustrations show a cheery multicultural neighborhood. Origami instructions appended.
