Giovanni Rigano.
Also adapted by Andrew Donkin. Color by Paolo Lamanna. In this graphic-novel re-envisioning, Holly Short and Artemis Fowl must prevent evil pixie Opal Koboi from destroying the underground fairy capital, but Artemis's memory has been wiped and Holly is wanted for murder. The novel's condensation is much to the benefit of the plot, though readers will have to squint to read the elf-sized font and tiny--though dynamic--stylized comic panels.

Color by Paolo Lamanna. Cosmo Hill escapes from a nightmarish orphanage and joins the Supernaturalists, renegades sworn to eliminate Parasites, blue blob-like creatures that prey on the nearly deceased. As Cosmo gets more entrenched in the Supernaturalists' mission, he uncovers a connection between the creatures and the corrupt government. This graphic novel's imaginative futuristic world is evoked in the action-packed, expertly colored art.
