Each book receives a rating of 1 to 4:

1 = Outstanding, noteworthy in style, content, and/or illustration. ()
2 = Superior, well above average. ()
3 = Recommended, satisfactory in style, content, and/or illustration.
4 = Recommended, with minor flaws.

(Reviews of books that are not recommended are no longer available.)

Preschool: birth to age 4
Picture Books: grades K–3
Easy Readers: grades K–3
Younger Fiction: grades 1–3
Intermediate Fiction: grades 4–6
Older Fiction: YA (grades 7 and up)

PS: birth to age 4
K–3
4–6
YA: grades 7 and up
