This overview of Everest and those who endeavor to climb is presented in an unnecessarily alphabetical format. Although information on topics such as crevasses, frostbite, gear, and the Sherpas is relayed via competent prose and clear color photos, the alphabetical arrangement results in a rather unorganized volume that jumps from subject to subject instead of following a logical progression.
