Unbeknownst to duck Muriel, her sweater is unraveling as she delivers invitations to her birthday party. Luckily, her friends have already been working on the perfect present: a new sweater. The cheery illustrations do a good deal of storytelling; readers can spot hints about the new sweater and chuckle at the uses Muriel's friends find for yarn from the old one.
