UK teen Nicola's surprise pregnancy--and dramatic childbirth in a bathroom at her best friend Olivia's house party--sends ripples through her social group in this contemporary realistic novel. Five narrators--all with varying connections to Nicola and her new baby--tell their stories in turn. Each perspective is distinct and compelling, but Olivia's physically abusive boyfriend's almost effortless redemption detracts from the book's believability.
