Little Monster isn't tired--knees, bottom, tail, and other parts want to keep moving. "My tail needs to swing, swing, swing." Friendly Big Monster encourages the effort, but eventually both monsters tire out and fall asleep. "Shhhhhhhhhh..." Loosely rendered illustrations capture Little Monster's energetic, wiggly antics in this familiar bedtime story.

A preschooler describes the anticipation of his trucker dad's arrival: "I love to ride in Daddy's truck. / He picks me up from school. / Then I have Dad to myself. / We think that's sooo cool!" The rhymes are unimaginative and rhythmically challenged, but the art, featuring a sweetheart of a tattooed, rough-and-tumble dad, is colorful and entertaining.

An uneven rhyme describes the daily routine of a young dragon, who wakes up Mommy and Daddy, dawdles before getting dressed, and waves good-bye from daycare, all "because that's what Little Ones do." Pleasant illustrations depict ever-cheerful dragons on sturdy pages. Although the book's overall tone will likely be too sweet for some, others will enjoy the familiarity of the preschooler's activities.
